FacilitySpecialized in molecular testing, Eurofins GeneScan premises are state-of-the art molecular biology laboratories, which have been specifically designed to meet the stringent requirements for routine PCR testing. In order to exclude cross-contamination entirely, a strict one-way workflow is implemented with separated pre-PCR and post-PCR rooms and dedicated equipment for each level. Additional safeguards are in place: Airlocks for entry into pre and post-PCR areas, active air pressure and flow control in all relevant laboratory areas and dedicated work spaces for individual steps of analysis are implemented to complement a comprehensive set of organisational measures too.

EquipmentEurofins GeneScan is equipped with more than 10 Real-time PCR devices and a number of Thermocyclers.
Furthermore all different kinds of equipment for sample preparation and DNA extraction for low to high throughput are available including Liquid Handling Workstations. Our equipment has been qualified as suitable for use and is regularly maintained by internal or external maintenance procedures and handled according to defined QA procedures |
