Equipped with modern real-time PCR platforms like ABI 7500 and Mx3005P we are able to develop up to five-plex assays. Multiplexing requires detailed know-how to match the dyes used to the real-time detector and experimental experience is crucial to find optimal solutions for each individual assay. Thorough validation addressing not only standard simplex validation parameters but also multiplex-specific parameters like cross-talk, competitive effects and sensitivity of detection under asymmetric target conditions guarantees optimal performance.
