Genetically Modified Soybean
Today on more than 70% of the global soy planting area genetically modified organisms (GMO) are grown. While in the past Roundup Ready™ soy was the only GMO soy commercially planted, several new varieties with different traits are now entering the market.
The current commercialisation status of GMO soy requires an up-to-date screening strategy. A strategy, based on the common screening targets 35S promoter and nos terminator, is no longer appropriate. New methods were added to our soy screening packages SoyScreen and SoyScreenPlus in order to detect additional GMO soy events like Roundup RReady2Yield™ or TREUS™.
